Non-invasive Body Contouring
Cryolipolysis is a non-surgical technique that involves cooling of localized fat deposits in a controlled manner over a prolonged period, leading to destruction of the fat cells and resulting in a reduction of body fat without damaging the surrounding tissue. Cryolipolysis is considered as a safe, gentle and non-invasive treatment. The complete breakdown and removal of fat cells takes about 10–12 weeks, as they are progressively and naturally eliminated from the body.
Typical treatment areas include belly, hips, waist, back, male breasts, thighs (inside and outside), flabby arms and buttocks.
The number of treatments needed to ensure the best result depends on the localization and the volume of the fat deposits. Improvements are typically seen a few weeks after the first treatment. However, between 1 and 3 sessions are often recommended for optimal results.
The results can be improved further by combining treatments such as shockwave and radiofrequency. To maximise the results of the treatment and to maintain it over time nothing can replace a healthy and varied diet, accompanied by regular and tailored dynamic exercise programs.Read more
Cryolipolysis is an almost painless procedure and has limited side effects. Some mild discomfort may be felt in the initial phase of the treatment, caused by the suction of the applicators, but this rapidly fades as the cooling produces has an anaesthetics effect. The procedure generally takes 60 minutes. After the treatment there may be a temporary skin redness, swelling, haematoma, and numbness for a few days up to a few weeks.
The treatment is suited for most patients, but best results will be obtained especially with those localised fat deposits that are more refractory to diet and exercise. Contraindications to cryolipolysis include cold-induced conditions, certain cardiovascular diseases, liver and kidney disease and pregnancy.
Shockwave therapy is a non-invasive and painless body contouring technique. It has a synergic effect with cryolipolysis. Combining 1 session of cryolipolysis with several shockwave treatments results in faster and more pronounced fat reduction compared to cryolipolysis alone.
Shockwave therapy is a fast and painless technique to improve the appearance of cellulitis. This therapy works by emitting a series of acoustic pulses that vibrate the connective tissue in areas of cellulite and fat deposits. It takes at least 8 sessions at weekly intervals to get optimal results.
