A dermatologist will identify a skin lesion and determine the best treatment option. Depending on the type of lesion we could suggest a surgical excision, a shave excision, electrosurgery, laser treatment or cryotherapy.
Many skin lesions can be treated surgically with local anesthesia, for instance moles, cysts, warts, seborrheic keratosis and also skin cancers.
Good to know before a surgical treatment
Do not take Aspirin or any medication that fluidify the blood 5 days before the surgical procedure because of a higher risk of bleeding. Some surgical procedures cannot be performed on a first appointment, but will be postponed to ensure a proper preparation and time for the surgery.
