Striae, scars, benign tumors and more

Different lasers can be used for resurfacing and ablation of benign skin tumors, with ablative CO2 laser being the golden standard. This laser is highly absorbed by water in the skin, causing skin ablation, shrinkage and collagen remodelling.

Clinical applications are:

  • Scars (acne scars and others),
  • warts,
  • seborrheic keratosis,
  • naevi* (=moles),
  • syringoma,
  • dyschromia
    * not all naevi can be treated with laser
